Thirteen O’Clock News Brief

November 29, 2008

Things that caught my attention today…

The government commitment of “rescue funds” in various forms is $8.5 Trillion.  SFGate.com has it all broken down here.

AntiWar.com’s Justin Raimondo connects the dots between The Bailout, the Media, and the War Party. Pravda had nothing on American corporate media.

Richard Rahn’s commentary in the Washington Times asks, The Fed: Solution or problem? No brainer, really, but nice to hear new voices shining a bit of light on the truth.

SecDef calls for Congress to mandate that Guard, Reserves have lead in DoD ops in the homeland. Excuse me, where again? It’s tempting to dismiss doomsday scenarios as just so much negativity… until you see the government itself moving its pieces into position.

When warhawk and guest speaker at the Republic National Convention 2008, Joe Lieberman says “Everything that President-elect Obama has done since election night has been just about perfect…“, it is most certainly well into the thirteen o’clock hour.
