National Opt-Out Day is a Success

Actually, today is NOT the busiest air travel day of the year. Not even close! Everyone just thinks it is.

All reports are that people are moving through the lines quickly – even more quickly than usual – and that only a small percentage of travelers (as expected) have opted-out of the scanners. A handful of educational outreach groups peacefully handed out literature at airports today, but those were far from the security lines, slowing down no one.

There have even been reports from travelers that in many airports the scanners were not even in use today. Though TSA denies this was a tactical decision on their part, it certainly helps explain why people have been moving through the lines much faster than usual.

So if TSA actually did feel threatened by Opt-Out Day and you got through an airport security checkpoint today in record time because only the traditional measures were in use – you’re welcome.

It also seems that Thanksgiving air travel is down considerably this year and travel by road is up approximately 12%. A spokesman from AAA says the organization estimates “94 percent of all holiday travelers to go by automobile” this year.

I’m certain that at least some of that increase in road travel is due to people who have chosen liberty over fake security. So take that, Big Sis. We’re opting out of flying entirely.

All in all, I’d call the day a rousing success.

A success for people who don’t want to be microwaved or groped.

The crazies that called for the National Opt Out Day, don’t know what they are talking and the majority of our nation flew anyway. As soon as we get another terrorist attack these same crazies will be yelling that our government we were not doing enough to detect them. They have no ideas on what should be implemented instead of what is in place, but I am sure that will call this a victory. What a bunch of empty suits that are just real haters not debaters.

“The crazies that called for the National Opt Out Day, don’t know what they are talking…”

Do you even know what you’re SAYING?

“…the majority of our nation flew anyway.”

Do you have a source for this? ‘Cause I think you have no idea what you are talking about.

“As soon as we get another terrorist attack these same crazies will be yelling that our government we were not doing enough to detect them.”

No. We’ll be yelling that our government shouldn’t have spent so much time trying to counter the LAST terrorist attack.

“They have no ideas on what should be implemented instead of what is in place…”

Bullshit. Time and again, the people you’re mocking have pointed to El Al’s spotless security record and convenient experience as EXACTLY what we should try to emulate in America. You are an idiot.

Your whole post reeks of epic fail.
